Here at Grace Presbyterian Church we foster individual transformation in ways that enable members, visitors, and the community to live fully as the disciples of Jesus and to serve faithfully in God's world.
Church members and attendees are encouraged to grow personally, extending and deepening their understandings of who they are as children of God and how they might pursue God's call in their lives. As a church community, we invite and challenge individuals to spiritually stretch themselves by attending our worship services regularly and by experiencing congregational support, the community of prayer, and the educational and special programming offered for all ages at Grace.
Grace challenges its members to live as disciples of Jesus, attending to God's priorities and making the difficult decisions that come with being a Christian in the modern era. Grace adheres to the Greatest Commandments: to "love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" and to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22: 36-40; Mark 12: 28-34). Grace embraces this call to love God, neighbor, and self and encourages its church community to develop spiritual practices that empower them to include rather than exclude, forgive rather than begrudge, and love rather than fear.
Grace celebrates
that Jesus, the one who points to all things holy, cared deeply for the world. Jesus, the incarnate God, welcomed the outcasts, healed the sick, and challenged the status quo. He admonished his followers that whosoever feeds the hungry, offers drink to the thirsty, welcomes the stranger, clothes the poor, cares for the sick, and visits the prisoner is doing God's work (Matthew 25-31-46). Thus, Grace prioritizes hands-on care for the world, offering opportunities for the church community to bring God's light to those in darkness and God's hope to those in despair.
