Memory Walk Project
Walking in Remembrance of Lives Lost in Palestine and Israel
“Remembering and telling are acts of resistance—acts of
redemption, and salvation, and consolation.” Susan Wilder *
After the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, and the resulting loss of life, the MMEPJ has held a series of Remembrance Walks to honor war victims on both sides. The walks were inspired by Susan Wilder’s sermon of December 31, 2023, upon her return from a solidarity trip to the West Bank.
Grace continues our short neighborhood walks (1 mile +/-) in remembrance of those who have lost their lives in the Middle East. These walks are on the 1st Sundays of the month. All are welcome to join us as we express our concern for the suffering in the region and demonstrate our enacted prayers for a just and lasting peace. Other walks may be planned. Watch this page for details.
Next Walk: Sunday, May 4, 7:30-8:30 pm.
Meet at the tower entrance of the church.
