Rev. Katie Murchison Ross
Katie began as Grace Presbyterian’s associate pastor in November 2018. She provides leadership to youth and family ministry, Christian formation for all ages, mission and community outreach. Katie also preaches regularly and generally dips her toes into too many ministries at Grace!
Prior to being ordained, Katie was shaped by working in camp, youth, and prison ministries. She also has taught English and literacy abroad and in the U.S. Put all that together and you get a pastor who loves young people, enjoys deep conversations and meaningful worship, and is motivated to help us reach beyond our walls to follow Christ into our community and the world. Katie believes it that true faith unites both the inward journey (the life of the spirit, faith practices, and wrestling with tough questions) and the outward journey (service, advocacy, and hospitality extended to our neighbors).
Katie grew up in Laurel, MD, and is a graduate of Duke Divinity School and St. Olaf College. She lives in Springfield with her husband John and two young children.
