Relay for Life

Hi-

I will be participating in this year’s Relay for Life event at UVA. Relay for Life is a 24 hour event where teams get together to celebrate cancer survivors, mourn those who have been lost, and raise money to fight back against the disease.

Relay for Life has raised over $3 billion dollars to fight cancer research since its founding in 1986 through the generosity of the American public.  I am registered online and I would appreciate it if you would visit my personal fundraising web page. It explains what Relay For Life is in more detail and has information on why I chose to get involved. It  also has my fundraising goal and tracks the money I’ve raised so far.

Those who battle with this disease daily are the strongest people I know and I am doing this event to raise money for them. For my wonderful dad, grandfather, best friends’ mom, aunt, uncles and all of the people around the world dealing with cancer, I want to give back for all they have done to fight.
